I was recently given the opportunity to review the new Rubbermaid “No Slip Interlocking Drawer Organizers.” I love organizing products, so I was eager to try these out.
Most of us have “junk drawers,” a place to throw all those important or maybe not so important things that don’t have another home. I have two of them in my laundry that have long been in need of a clean-out.
First I emptied them out and wiped out the drawers. Then I put in the drawer organizers. Since my drawers are narrow, I put one in the second drawer with some small boxes—I need another Rubbermaid set! I like these boxes because they interlock so they won’t slide apart in the drawer.
Then I started sorting. I really thought I knew what was in these drawers, but I found some surprises. There were some items that I could not begin to identify! And do I really need 20+ old refrigerator magnets? If they aren’t nice enough to have on the fridge now, then why am I storing them? How about an outlet cover with one prong broken off? My youngest child is 9! After pitching all the trash, I sorted what was left back into the drawers. Doesn’t this look better????
Here’s a great article by Rubbermaid with tips on how to organize your junk drawer. Rubbermaid’s Adventures in Organization blog features all kinds of great ideas for organizing your life and is also well worth checking out.

I received the drawer organizer set free from Rubbermaid for review purposes. No other compensation was provided for the writing of this review.
The dog food bins look great. I need to pick up something like that at some point. The BJ's bags of food are just ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteThe drawer organizer looks like something I cold use. Yeah...don't look in my drawers.

ReplyDeleteThese look wonderful. I love how you organized the drawers - I have a bunch of junk drawers that could use some help and these look really wonderful. I like that you put like with like. If only I could get my husband to follow that simple concept!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I loved the post about adjusting closet shelf/hanging bar heights for your kids so they can be more independent from early on! It's here:

ReplyDeleteI love the Rubbermaid blog. There were several things I liked. One was how she used the steps to put things on that needed to go somewhere. I do that too.
ReplyDeleteI was already following you, so that counts right?
ReplyDeleteThe dog food bins are genius. I buy 50 lb. bags for our two dogs and I hate the way it looks in the pantry.
ReplyDeleteThis is a neat giveaway!
I love the post about the roughneck tote as a recycling bin. We don't have a garage at all, and I simply do not have room in my house to store recyclables. This, though, could work...
ReplyDeleteAnd I follow you :)
