Emily and I went outside last night to catch some fireflies. Being the lazy mom that I am, I usually stay in the house when she does this, but last night, I joined in the fun. After we caught a jarful, I pulled out our Handbook of Nature Study (Comstock) and we snuggled on the couch with the firefly jar and learned about them.
She told me, “Mom, this was the best night ever!”
Ahhh . . . that's the stuff memories are made of! Emily is so cute!
