We noticed this moth outside our kitchen window last night—the wingspan was about 6 inches across! The photo was taken from inside the house, so this is his underside view. A quick look at our Butterfly and Moth guide indentified it as a Cecropia moth, one of the largest moths in the US. The caterpillar of this species can be 4 inches long!
Thanks for stopping by my blog! I ordered your speech therapy for my five year old yesterday. I did wonder if I should have ordered the smaller books or if the main book will be enough. He has trouble with r and l, th, ch, tr, and j for sure. He did have a diagnostic speech test with a therapist last year and was on the edge of really needing therapy, but I wanted to work with him at home before having to go out another day! Can't wait to get the materials in a start having fun with him and speech therapy.
