Rubbermaid Reveal Spray Mop-Giveaway

image9[1]
Giveaway ended.
Winner is comment #2 lmurley2000.

When I first saw information on the Rubbermaid Reveal Mop, I knew I would like it.  First of all, I am thrifty. I know there are mops on the market that look quite convenient to use, but that use expensive disposable mop pads and special cleaning solutions. I’ve never been tempted to purchase one of these because I know that I would have to continue to buy supplies for it.
image
Second, this is the mop that I have been using for the past several years…..DSC08304
A similar microfiber mop. It’s so old, though, that the velcro barely sticks, and I have to use a separate spray bottle with cleaning solution—I use diluted vinegar. I really like the mop, though, and it is a large improvement over the sponge mop that I used to use.

The Reveal Mop uses reusable microfiber cleaning pads that can be hand or machine washed up to 100 times each. The attached spray bottle can be filled with your cleaning solution of choice—generally 2T cleaner in a bottle of water. This environmentally friendly and economical mop can save $50 a year over using mop systems that require disposable pads and special cleaning solutions. The microfibers reach deep into cracks, picking up 50% more dirt than sponge mopes.
My Thoughts:
I love this mop! The pad is thick and absorbent. The sprayer is very convenient to use. The velcro on the pad sticks to molded plastic bumps on the actual mop that should last forever instead of wearing out and collecting threads and hair, etc like true Velcro.  I also love the ability to throw the mop pad into the washer. (Can you ever really get sponge mops clean by just rinsing them in the sink??) The Reveal mop feels quite sturdy, but not too heavy. This is really well designed and it got my floor clean fast!  The set I received came with 3 pads and 2 bottles—enabling me to mix up 2 different cleaning solutions—one for laminate and one for hardwood and to ensure that I always have a clean pad ready to go. I really love this mop!!! The only improvement I might request is an addition dry mop attachment pad for sweeping/dusting floors. I’m hoping that Rubbermaid will make that add-on available soon.
The Rubbermaid Reveal mop is available online and at Home Depot for $29.99. It  will be available at Target and WalMart this month.

  168. I like that the pads are removable and can be washed. I also have one of those with disposable pads and it gets expensive. Thanks so much! pamelashockley(AT)aol(DOT)com
