Molly’s Digest-August (Review)

image Are you enjoying lots of fresh garden produce right now? Do you have more than you can eat? Or are you enjoying stocking up on summer fruits and veggies at great prices at the grocery store? The latest issue of Molly’s Digest focuses on preserving food—canning, freezing, and dehydrating.  If you’d like step-by-step instructions for freezing berries, corn, beans, squash, or peaches, it is here for you. Would you like to try your hand at canning? This issue gives some tips and links to learn how and even includes recipes for cinnamon pears and peach and pineapple preserves. There is even an article that explains how to dehydrate apples and herbs. Unfortunately, you have to own a dehydrator for this project and I don’t.

This issue also includes, as always, great recipes that are inexpensive to make, home decorating tips, and pages to add to your home organization notebook.

Molly’s Digest can be purchased at The Old Schoolhouse Store for $4.95 an issue. Molly’s Membership is even less. Also, be sure to visit the Econobusters blog, which features great tips and freebies.

I received a free copy of Molly’s Digest to write this review.
